Develop model for estimating settlements caused by pile and tie-back anchor drilling

Work tasks WP 1:

Field instrumentation and data collection from older and on-going projects to document the effects of improved
methods for drilling of tie-back anchors and foundation piles.
Laboratory investigations on soil specimens to evaluate the settlements due to the disturbance from drilling.
Model-tests in laboratory to evaluate the effects of drilling procedures and ground conditions.
Numerical simulations of the effects of disturbance, drainage and erosion to verify the reliability of the models
to predict the empirical results.
New guidelines on pile and anchor drilling to prevent damage.
