As part of WP2 a novel instrumentation program has been installed between and along the lime-cement stabilisation ribs/panels within the building pit. The work package will study the soil-structure interaction focusing on mobilisation of the stabilised soil, load transfer between and along the lime-cement ribs and interaction of lime-cement ribs with the retaining structure. Uncertainties and limitations in the current design practice of support structures and stabilised soil needs to be assessed. New methodology for effective quality control of DDSM will also be explored. In close connection with WP1, recommendations for sustainable design and execution will be proposed.
